A kilogram is 2.204623 pounds avoirdupois and 2.679229 pounds Troy or apothecary.

Where did 2.5 pounds come from? I was almost certain that 2.2 pounds was correct, but I checked a reliable source before posting. To post an incorrect answer to a simple question shows you are jerk. I would rather see jerks banned that those who use foul language.

Not knowing the answer to a question is no crime. Everybody is ignorant of some facts and areas of knowledge.

It is evil and stupid not to realize what you do not know. If you do not know th answer to a simple question, do not answer it.

I cannot believe the audience of shows like Who Wants to be a millionaire. When some poor ba**rd is trying to answer a question worth over $100,000, there are people in the audience guessing when asked for an answer. I have seen the majority of that audience wrong. I wonder if they do it deliberately because they cannot stand to see the bloke get the money.

Probably so, but I would really help the guy out, it's not like you're going to get the money if he doesn't, so you might as well be a nice guy.

Ooh Guv, I LuvIt when you get bitchy

Jeez, keep your knickers on... the 2.5 was probably Mairiiv's recollection of the factor. Maybe from a recipie book, where it doesn't matter. (That much... unless you bugger up the Sunday joint .)

I doubt if s/he was evil. Probably not stupid.

    Just wrong.

They have been known to do that on the Russian version of Millionaire

However the "top" price is a massive £33/$47 so I wouldn't be too pissed.
