I have finished a program, and am writing a tutorial. I am using word, but can use HTML if needed. My question is this:
How do I capture a screen shot of the application to place into the tutorial???
Forgive me if I sound new...I AM!!!

you have to have a program like paint shop pro. its a painting program, but it also does screen shots. but it does cost $100,
you may be able to find free screen shot programs out there..
you can also do screen shots your self using bitblt and/or stretchblt fox has a demo on his site....
cant remember the URL right now though

Nope... !
Don't go and buy PaintShop pro! You don't need any fancy graphics programs, just use the print screen key on your keyboard!
To capture an image of the entire screen, just press Print Screen, then go into paint, and go to edit and paste. The image of the screen should then be pasted into paint, allowing you to save the image as a bitmap, gif etc.
To capture just an active window, repeat the above steps, but just hold the alt key down while pressing print screen.
Very simple... Paint Shop Pro my arse! jeezus

REM:
thanks for the tip.. i did not know that
Lee M. : what are you trying to do?
you can MAKE screen captures in paintshop pro...
what file type are you talking about?
the word or HTML?
you dont do that, you just go to capture(its a menu item) and click on setup, and set whatever you need, then choose start from the capture menu...
