Pickups are pretty much purely agricultural over here. Nothing at all like the '2500' size ones that I've seen in the states. Most are small japanese ones although Landrover 110s are rated at 0.75 tons and I'm guessing the 130s are rated at 1.0 ton but they appeal to a different market to US leisure pickups.

That 'Cuda looks like a soft round Challenger. I think the long, sharp line Challenger looks very nice. Especially in black. For some reason though, I like old Cutlasses. *shrug*

Huh? a Toyota Corolla? What's so difficulat about fitting four people in that? Maybe you have trouble fitting 4 Americans in there, they are a bit wider after all

Nothing happening for at least a week or two. It's nothing definite, just my mum mentioned she was thinking of getting another car and did I want it that's all.

I'll take it for a spin when I next go back home, in a couple of weeks probably, and see what I think of it. If it looks like I can get the Corsa by January I'll probably take it. Otherwise it won't be worth it. I'm not going to be doing the mileage to justify a diesel next year, so whether its worth paying the extra now and getting it to save money in the long run depends on just how long I'll be using it.

We shall see.... in the meantime I need to fix my bloody choke. It's a bit knackered.

As far as petrol costs go, in our area there's the possibility of grants to get your car converted to LPG...which costs under 40p a litre, and I think it lasts a little longer as well

My driving instructor got a special grant since he uses his car for work (obviously) and he can get the gas (actual gas, not petrol which you yanks like to call "gas" ) for about 25-30p/litre

They've also frozen tax on LPG for at least the next few years...
