Hey everyone,
I'm very new to the programming scene. I bought VB 5 a long time ago (I'll get 6 if I progress well here)and have always just played around with it. Now I'm interested in doing more with it (particuarly web design). I'm doing CBT courses on VB and am almost done with all of them. I think I have a good starting knowledge, but I don't know where to start. If you could answer my questions I would be grateful!
Q's
1. What are some good beginning projects (I'm to learn right now, not create something or be part of something new)
2. Are there any chat rooms on the net via IRC or this site that I can ask people questions in real time?
Thanks for reading,
B1

Ok the gun is loaded though
I teach a course for teen beginner vbers. What they do over the course is write their very own Yahtzee game. This teaches coding, screen handling, database access and analysis, and recently have added bitblt animation to the mixture...rolling dice etc.
Hope it helps, give the game a go, if you need help just ask, can send you the project if you like
