    Wish me luck!

I'm going for a job interview tomorrow, I'm a bit nervous. I've got REM's "End of the world" playing now as a bit of dubious moral support!

If any of you have a minute of free time at about 3:00 pm tomorrow, send me some good vibes

    Thanks!

Yes, vibrators are good! I'll start mine going for you around interview time.

    Thanks everyone

I forgot to check the 'Notify by email' button when posting, sorry for the late response.

The interview was for an engineering firm that deals with water flow dynamics for various customers in the UK water system.

They made me do a test in MS Excel (which I hardly ever use) in which I had to write a simple lookup statement from one set of data to another.

I had about 1 minute to find out the syntax for both LOOKUP and VLOOKUP, neither of which i have any knowledge of, and to implement it.

I got it wrong, but I was close, only a couple of dollar signs out.

I felt a bit of a fool. But I could kick either of my interviewers's arses in a straight VB or C++ contest. But then again, I didn't get chance.

So my backup plan is voluntary placement in a school as a lab technician.
