I'm insterested in joining this!
I think we should have it look A LOT like vBulletin (everything, except maybe the copyright footer ).
The forum should have very detailed administration features, such as disabling/enabling attachments, avatars, guest posting, etc.
The forum statistics should work, also, with an option to recount membership, repair boards/forums, disable post counts in specific forums, and stuff like that. (Basically a combination of OpenBB's features and looks with YaBB's administration powers)

Are we going to start from scratch, or are we going to use OpenBB as a "base"?

lol
It's a great big rip off from vBulletin it looks
I guess all would have to be, to be a good forum
Do we have to show that it was a openBB base forum?
or just modify it and call it our own?
What hacks do you want me to work on for it?
that's alot of quesitons

Well...if we do a MAJOR overhaul, I believe that we don't need to include a reference to OpenBB (By that, I mean modifying EVERY file majorly).

nah, it's so that you can get rid of threads (i.e. free up space) and still let ppl keep their post count.
Like my first 1000 posts probably don't exist anymore

Yes, but maybe we can fix is so it doesn't screw up the counter, and still have people keep their post counts.

You can have 2 options.
We can add these admin hacks maybe
1. Delete inappropriate thread
2. Normal Delete (to free space)
1 - Kills post count as well
2 - Let's them keep their post count

Also, if you will take a look at YaBB's admin features, I think they deserve to be in OpenBB as well.

I now say that we start from scratch.
Using popular bb's as leaping points for code, then we know what's going on and we know what to change to fix something...
