Shape Control

Anyone had trouble using the shape control with vb???

i'm trying to use it to create a rectangle on my form, with a black border and filled in with a dark grey colour. this seems to work fine, but the left hand side of the of the border is not a solid line, there are gaps in it.

the gaps look like they could coincide with the dots on the form layout window, although that seems unlikeley

is there any way around this???

Is the BorderStyle property set to 1 - Solid or an other value?

it's odd that it's only on the left hand side...
