    Angry VS .Net Install problem.....

    Hi everyone....
I just got Visual Studio .net beta 2 on CD today and am trying to install it on the following computer:

    Processor: Intel Celeron 400Mhz

    RAM: 128MB

Op. Sys: Win 2K pro rc2/dual boot with Win98 "streight"(no upgrades).

    HD: Lots of room

The problem occurs when the Windows Component Upgrade runs. I keep getting a message telling me that another program on the system requires that the system reboot and that I can re-run setup afterwords. I boot. Same problem. I boot. Same problem. Time loop. Does anyone know anything about this??
    Thanks for reading

P.S. - I tried shutting down everything I could from the Task Manager - didn't help.

    Win 2K pro rc2
RC2 = Release Candidate 2? Get yourself the release version and then install the latest W2K service pack.

    Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

    Yep.......
Kinda suspected that the RC2 copy of 2K might be my problem. Guess I'll just hafta quit being cheap and buy a REAL copy or "upgrade??" to XP.
