driver trouble
I installed the drivers for my
Soundblaster Live Player 5.1 MP1
in windows xp, they worked partially, I could play music in ex winamp, but the position didn't display. Some other apps couldn't detect the soundcard at all
I tried to remove the drivers but the uninstall software did nothing for some minutes, same when i tried to reinstall them.
I have a system restore point at yesterday, what happens if i do a system restoration? Will it only restore the driver settings and leave other files alone?

I don't know about the sys restore, but I did have a similair problem a few years back with an SB 128 card.
After much playing around, removed the sounds card. Un-installed the drivers, put the card back in a different PCI slot and re-installed and it worked. Windows claimed there where no conflicts, bt I'm pretty certain there was something like that going on.
Don't know if this helps any.
