    Can anyone give me some guidance, any link to free online book for PHP? I have searched in informit.com with no success. Please help.

    before you learn it. try to find a good free server, with php abilities...

    has cgi abilities, its a pretty good place to have your site, it may incorporate php into it soon.

    Why dont you just go to PHP directly?

    http://www.php.net (or something like that)

    They have a FULL reference section including examples.
