Graphics programming - need guidance
I need some advice. I have basic knowledge in C++ and VB, not really to an advanced or expert level though.
I need to start from basic graphics level, but I want to learn how to work with 3D images and image manipulation.
1. I am interested in picking up graphics programming and animation. Could someone guide me with where I should look, i.e. title of books, web sites, etc.
2. What other languages could be used which are more appropriate for 2D/3D graphics programming and animation? And again books, web sites, etc.
3. Are there programs that I could use to ease the graphics programming/animation? And once again, any books, web sites, etc.
Please help.
Regards,
Deiva

1. For basic and advanced graphics programming, pick up Visual Basic Graphics Programming. One of the best books I ever bought =).
2. C++ is the language of choice, due to speed, as well as the ease of Object Oriented Programming.
3. What do you mean by programs? To create 3D models? You would want 3D Studio MAX, or Milkshape 3D.
