winsock control
I've got a new harddisc, and now I reinstalled VB (5.0). the microsoft winsock control wasn't nn the list of inserteble controls. But when I copied it from a (zip)disc, it didn't work! it gave me the message: "License information on this control not found.". but on my old harddisc the control worked fine! what can I do to use it again on the new harddisc?

So on your new hd did you reninstall Windows? If so, this is happening because while you copied the files they were not registered in the registry. If there is a licensing issue, the only way around it would be to reinstall your VB.

I still get this message when I put the control in a form. So I think the patch didn't fix the problem.
but as I said, Is there a way to copy the license from the old hd to the new one?
BTW, thnx for your fast replies.
