WinCust - My New app
Does anyone here want to test my new application? It's a program that allows you to customize your system properties window. Below is a screenshot of what you can do, and the next post has the zip file containing the exe. Source will be given if you ask for it, because I know people don't like to open exe files. I scanned it with two different antivirus programs without any viruses showing, but I know people are careful.

Have you tested it in a WindowsMe system ? Because the last time I tested a program of a user who was supposed to custom the windows title bar I had to reinstall all WindowsMe. I just want to be sure than you do not delete anything or replace anything who can make my system do not work . If you tell me than all is alright I will test it .

I haven't tested it with WinME, but it doesn't do anything to any system critical files. It only makes new files. I know what you are talking about... that start button thing. I used it and it messed up my start button on win98se too. This will not hurt your computer in anyway... and if you test it, please tell me if it works for you, so I can post that info on my site.

Why not just add oeminfo.ini and oemlogo.bmp to your system folder?

That's exactly what this program does. It is mainly for people that don't know how to do that and like simple interfaces for customizing their computers. If you know how to do it without the program, then don't download it.

Ok thanks guys... I know it now only works with 95/98. It's still a good tool though, isn't it? I think it's pretty good for those 95/98ers that like to customize their PCs.

I know for a fact that I am not going to upgrade to XP. I rather not waste my money on it. I have 98SE, and that is good enough for me. If I don't have XP, then I can't really try to make a program for it, since I can't test it. The reason I don't want to upgrade is their stupid new security in it. I don't want to have to re-register everytime I reinstall it because I format my hard drive once every 3 months. That is a big waste of time for me. It would take forever waiting on the phone to get a new reg key to install it. If anything, I will upgrade to win2k, but definintely not XP.

Same with me... I know what you are getting at. If I had money I would pay for software too. I just use basic programs. I don't go and download a bunch of ***** just to waste people's hard work. The only programs I have cracked are things like Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Stuff that people pay like $300+ for. Once I get a job and money, I will buy what I need.
Shhh.... be quiet about it though.
