the banner loads for me, but the private message box is never shown

I can walk around the block 6 times before the banner ad loads for me. And the prob is that if i open a few pages at a time my IE cracks up at all the non happening banner ads and decides to play dead. This is only a recent problem tho (say last 5 days).
