    Question

Ok have a stand alone portable with vb5 sp3...Was working fine, used to develop and deploy desktop apps.

Last night tried to build an application with the normal vb deployment tool and got an error message along the lines of "Cannot Locate DAO350"... Should l reload vb plus service packs, or is there a simpler method.

The App l was deploying has been deployed on this machine numerous times before with no problems

    Any help appreciated

Maybe you uninstalled MSAccess since and it removed the DAO driver files....

Your easiest chance is to find MDAC (Microsofto Data Access Controls) and reinstall it. I think the latest version is 2.1 and it contains (at a rough guess) DAO, ODBC, RDO and perhaps even ADO(OLEDB).
