Thumbs up Space Combat: VB Game (comments please)

Here's the first alpha of the game demo i'm making with my graphics engine, try it out and let me know what you think.
So far you can only scroll and select planets/ships.

Btw, it requires you to have installed DirectX 7 or above, and VB 6.0's runtimes.

It's the first app i've written in a long time that doesn't use 'on error resume next'

does it change the screen resolution before you get that error?

    Updates

I've made a lot of updates to the game, here's a new setup app. (Hopefully it'll work now ^_^)

Fixed a ton more bugs, added the options to turn off special effects (F2), and to turn off directdraw acceleration (F3).

I had to take the two old setup apps off the server, but this one's up:

When it loads the hardware acceleration is automatically off.
Turning it on makes the display go all ****ed up.
Turning it back off fixes it.

Game looks nice. Pity about the game area being restricted to only the small central area there.
Also I couldnt really figure out what to do.

Nor did I realise what that panel on the right was for until I clicked on something.

Yeah, the hardware acceleration has only worked on my PC and my mother's laptop.

Hmm... Hardware Acceleration works but doesn't do anything (no FPS change, no visual change). I like how the SFX blends the screen at the edges, though.
