Need web programmers for a System Configuration script
I need experienced programmers of CGI/ASP/Perl/PHP, or any other good web language, to work on a project.
The project is a script for a PC company. Users must be able to custom configure a system, it must display "Add $100" in drop down menus, and must then show the total. It must also have the ability to set compatibility restrictions, so if 2 components that the user selects do not work together, it will alert the user.
Pay should be good, although I'll have to check with one of the other project managers on exactly how much.
Preferably in or near Brooklyn, NY, or possibly near Calgary (isn't that in canada?). (We haven't decided on the chairman yet.)
Reply to this thread with your email address, and/or any MSN/ICQ/AIM/Yahoo screen names if you are interested.

I remember seeing somthing on this forum with Active Server Pages which did just that.
It was quite a while ago though and I can't think what keywords to search for
I'll see if I can find it for you if you like.

Depending on your load, I have a friend who runs a really good domain/hosting business on Windows NT servers for excellent prices. If you want a dedicated server, I've seen Linux servers run as expensive as NT.

$20 US per month for 100MB on a Windows NT server isn't that bad.

I'm open to both ASP and PHP..ASP ought to be damn good as MS themselves use it.
I will get back to everyone on this.
(On a side note, I see that Kovan and Aknisely actually agree on something! They both like ASP.)

PHP+Linux = Good
ASP+Windows = Good
If you close your mind completely to a set of solutions, you make a very, very bad developer.
