I'm betting 50 cents that China will win.

Re: Claude Vs ChatGPT
Since the thread is back on track, my go to AI is Claude for coding assistance, and ChatGPT and Gemini for auditing. I also have Claude review their recommendations, besides doing it's own auditing.
I never take any AI's first output as final. There is always alot of back and forth.

Yes, I've also started officially using AI to assist with programming. Today, I went back and forth with AI dozens of times, but in the end, it helped me solve the problem, and it was done perfectly.
Severe memory loss is the biggest problem I'm facing right now, and AI seems to be able to help me remember a lot of things.

Yes, you're right, maybe I'll lose 50 cents to you.

Sonnet 5 is really impressive.
This is on another league compared to other AIs that I've tried.
It is like you have the best VB programmers on the other side working for you, at hyper-speed...

Yes, that's also my view on AI. So, I've been working with DeepSeek late into the night these past few days.

I tried to use Claude Sonnet 5 Max a few times, the free tier version, but it was unusable. From what I've read on the internet, Claude Sonnet 5 Max uses more tokens for the same prompt you would give Claude Sonnet 4.6 Max, so since my prompt was highly technical, it never responded because it used all the free tier tokens trying to formulate a solution. Claude 4.6 Max worked like a charm four and a half hours later when my usage was reset. WE went back and forth about 10 to 15 times before my usage limit was used up.

I initially used the free version of Gemini. For small, simple projects,
it works very well. But as soon as things get more complex, it starts malfunctioning, changing parts of the code that are working...
I switched to Claude Pro (Sonnet 4.6 and Sonnet 5) and it's like night and day!

I tried the High option and saw no difference with the default Medium (at least in what I was doing). I saw no difference because both did the works "perfectly".
The 5 hours wait time is a big PITA. I will have to get an international card here but I had no time for now.

That what happened when I worked with Perplexity and Gemini some time ago. I had to check all the code because they sometime made subtle changes in code parts that were previously working.
Could not blindly trust them, could not just copy/paste.

That aspect changed completely with Claude. It is very important, and yes, it is like night and day.
I still sometimes use Genimi, but it is like asking something to someone that knows about the subject, but is a bit amateur. Claude, on the other hand, is a professional.

Re: Claude Vs ChatGPT
You can pay the Claude subscription from the mobile Claude app on your phone. That will work with whatever local cards you already have.

I'm not so sure. Currently my country has a tax for buying dollars, I believe it is like 35%.
I was told to start using Mercado Pago, that is like an online bank (the same company has Mercado Libre something similar to Amazon), and allegedly you can buy dollars there (without the 35%) and pay with an international debit card that they issue. That is what I didn't have time to research because it seems strange to be able to circumvent a tax like that, but who knows. The one that told me that is a guy that is already paying Anthropic in that way.
(I'm very sick of not being able to spend the money that I have in my Paypal account for exactly this sort of payments)
