Books about VB and VB.NET
Hello. I'm looking for books, either the PDF file or the title itself. Basic books are fine, but I'd prefer advanced books that are useful for automation. I'm not looking for anything specific beyond that, and if you know of anything interesting, especially if it's hard to find, I'd be very grateful.

So, what type of automation are you into? You have to be specific.

For classic vb there's this
Dan Appleman's Developing Activex Components With Visual Basic 5.0

That's a good point. I worked a lot with integrating PLCs in WinForm applications, but I'm not sure if that's the type of automation the OP is referring to.

If this were the Visual Basic 6 and Earlier, this might be appropriate. But this is the Visual Basic .NET forum (and it is 2026 not 199x), so I'm not sure why this was recommended at all.
