Re: Post Race!
I'm sitting in a pavilion waiting for the storms to arrive. The forecast is for torrential rain and possibly tornados in a few hours. Looking at the radar...it's coming. The rain would be okay. I can do without tornados, though.

Re: Post Race!
This park is pretty nice. There's one guy on duty today and he's out mowing. I suppose he's trying to get the mowing done before the downpour starts. There is also a bunch of equipment stored in a compound here. I saw two people come in and pick up a boat, earlier. I hope they aren't intending to go out in the boat today...but they probably are.

Re: Post Race!
We're finally getting a break from the 100 degree heat wave we've had for the last week. Only suppose to be 92 today.
At least we don't get tornados. Well, one did appear not to far from here for a few seconds a year ago or so. That's the only one I can remember.

Re: Post Race!
The wind is actually blowing pretty hard here and it is still pretty far out. According to TWC, my parish isn't even under a watch or warning. I think it only goes as far east as Morgan City.

Re: Post Race!
It got really bad really quick. We just had a tornado pass through town and have had 6 tornado sirens go off in the past 4 hours.

Re: Post Race!
I just saw a post by WDSU that there’s almost 200 lightning strikes every 15 minutes. That’s what actually woke me up, you’d see the flash then hear the boom almost instantly.

We can't flush some of our toilets, but that should go away in a day or two.

Re: Post Race!
Houma took the brunt of the damage, they got absolutely piléd. Raceland’s pumps were only running at 50% capacity and so the back half of town is flooded. A girl on my daughter’s softball team has about 3” of water and it’s a raised home.

Re: Post Race!
No tornados for me. I heard something coming towards me that sounded like a freight train.

Sat in a pavilion and watched it rain until 3, but all the really bad weather went south of me. Weather is nice, now.

Words to live by!!!
In the span of 11 years, 115 people died in weightlifting accidents at the gym.
In the same 11 years, only one person died from eating a donut.
Make better choices!
