Unfriendly IDE
Tried to load a large (multiple modules) VB6 app that loads OK into VB6 IDE. Kept getting error on loading over and over and .... over uncountable times. There i no CANCEL! After all the click click .... click to close the messages then Twin BASIC IDE just hung ... and hung. Had to Ctrl-Shift-Esc to kill it.
Waste too much time being a TwinBASIC code tester.

Re: Unfriendly IDE
It would be most helpful if you could provide a screenshot, or at a minimum the details of the error message.

Re: Unfriendly IDE
Msgbox
Error Reading
Name of file.
[Ok] is the only button. Needs a [CANCEL] to quit all loading.
This loads ok in the VB6 SP5 IDE.
Problem i I cannot abort loading. It all hangs or seems to hang I have to kill TwinBASIC.
Other smaller app will load but will not run due to missing components or ActiveX EXE but these also run fine in VB6 SP6 IDE.
Hope to see this all working soon.

Re: Unfriendly IDE
Thanks, I will get that changed so that a file read error won't interrupt the flow and instead be reported in the migration report that appears after the import. It won't fix whatever the problem is in terms of reading the file, but will at least improve the user experience.
With regards ActiveX EXEs, these projects are not yet supported.
With regards missing components, if what you describe is happening on the same physical machine as the VB6 installation, then first check the project references in tB after import - if anything is listed as missing, untick it, and then find the reference manually in the available references list and tick it there. Unfortunately this step is sometimes required currently, but this is planned to be improved soon.
