*whisper, the Lord didn't make the Valleys.
Nor the mountains.
But, if it helps you escape reality, Flanders, then it's OK with me.

To respond to your PM (why?)
I have faith in many things. I have faith in some parts of mankind, I have strong faith in family values, I have extreme faith in myself and my actions. Most of all, I believe the reality of life.
Now, any time I have conversed with, or had to depend on people of a Christian faith, I have had to remove myself from the proceeding due to
1: The overpowering stench of smugness and superciliousness for a religion bent on proving that humbleness and kindness is the true path of righteousness
2: I was depending on Irish Vicars. If only one branch of Christianity has be summoned by God to self-distruct itself, it is this group.
I'm sure you are a very nice person. I, too, have facets of life that I enjoy on a regular basis. My love of marijuana is matched with your love of God. but I don't puff my chest out and bask in my glow of superiority...

I am not doing this at all...
What I say is what Jesus said and not me. I am a follower of Jesus and I just tell you what His teachings are. Nothing more or less.

Here we go again.
When I had a close brush with Jesus, I was quoted a line in the Bible that said you must go out and try and convert people, so that's what he's doing. See the light Gaffer, Jesus is Lord.
What is that line in the Bible, Jesus4u?

I disagree. Whilst you may not feel you are acting like this, I think if you took a straw poll of everyone in this forum on how Christian Propaganda is portrayed, you may learn something.
Advertising for Jesus has, unfortunatly for your religion, become terribly naff
I have a question for you...
What do you think of Television Evangalists?

but you must know that Jesus makes very narrow claims about righteousness and what truth is. Jesus' life was entirely controversial. That is why you feel like we are pushing religion on you. Jesus said He was the only Way to Heaven NOT me.
TV E. I am sceptical of most due to the fact I believe they do not represent the true nature of Jesus.

Does this mean there is a potential division in Christianity in the States, between popular Christianity and intelligent Chrisianity?

According to Jesus, IF they truly turn away from their wrong doing then yes. Only they will know IF they are truly doing so.

To be honest the thought of some holy power looking down on me makes me feel a little uncomfatable. I don't want anyone knowing what I do in the privacy of my own home or basement

Hebrews 4:12-14 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Is this not bad news for educated Christians? I mean, The evengelists (I' like the TVE acronym BTW ) can take thousands of dollars from Mary-Lou Picenpecker, Alabama, using Jesus as a cover. They're happy as it keeps them in cheap suits, cheap hairspray and cheep hookers, Mary-Lou is happy because she feels she is going to be saved using her house-keeping money. and non-Christinas around to world laugh heartily be the sheer inanity of it all.
You know, if I was a Christian, I think I would have something to say about these pretenders, and I think I'd say it using the same medium at them.

Auterism
Jesus4u
Would you describe yourself as being auteristic (in your attempts to expose others to the teachings of Jesus)?
I'm just wondering whether Christians would be so forthcomming in their evangerlism if there were no heavenly reward (or hellish punishment).
Everything I say is either loose interpretation of dubious facts or idle speculation rooted in irrational sentiment.

heres a joke for all of you, it may make you laugh though no insult is intended, as I have no intention of showing my views on this subject...
A burgler is busy stealing things from a house that he just broke into when he hears a heavenly voice from nowhere...
"Jesus is watching you!" says the voice..
The Bugler is quite shocked by this and turns all around him and he can't see anything.. He continues to put things in his bag when the voice comes again...
"Jesus is watching you!"
This is making the Burgler a bit scared and he whispers..
"Whos there"
There is no reply. So he continues with his business when the voice looms in again..
"Jesus is watching you!"
As the voice says it for the 3rd time he sees a parrot.. The Burlger walks over to the parrot and says..
"Are you making that noise bird? Is your name Jesus?"
The Bird replies.
"No my names Moses"
The Burgler can barely hold in his laughter...
"What wierd people call their Parrot Moses?"
The Parrot replies...
"The same people who call their Pitt Bull Jesus!"
I'll get me coat!
