Super Bowl was so so. Excellent defensive play by both sides, especially in the first half. But Maye didn't handle the pressure well. That's understandable for a second year quarterback. Kind of glad the Seahawks won. Pat's have won enough of them for a while.

Re: Post Race!
This whole year in football was weird. The teams I thought would do well flamed out early. The teams I thought would be mediocre ended up winning divisions. I expected Seattle to win so long as Darnold didn't flame out. He didn't, they won. That defense is awesome. The Pats have a weakness on the left side of their line, which is made up of a pair of rookies, so that might improve.

Re: Post Race!
One thing that annoys me about the NFL is that they talk about, "the last time these two teams played each other." Well, the only thing that is the same between the last time they played and this time is the names of the teams...and perhaps the owners. The coaches and players are ALL different, they just wear similar clothing to the last time they played.
It shows what Jerry Seinfeld said, "you are rooting for laundry." Everything else has changed. So why bother talking about past records? One egregious example is when they talk about the all time record between two teams. Yeah, team A beat team B consistently in the 70s. What does that mean for todays game? Nothing at all. It isn't a bad statistic, it's not even a statistic at all. It's just a number masquerading as a statistic.

I think Super Bowl had the lowest overall percentage in terms of the two team's chances of making it to the Super Bowl.
In other words, both teams had very low chances of making it and combined, those long odds are the longest in Super Bowl history.

Re: Post Race!
I know that there was some controversy around the halftime, which is odd because it seems like Super Bowl halftime controversies only happen on years ending in numbers.
What sucks is that I watched it and didn't enjoy it, but if I say anything negative about it then I'm immediately painted into a corner. On the other hand, if I tell people I watched the halftime show without any other comment then I'm painted into the opposite corner.
When in reality, I usually don't get excited about the halftime show and I enjoyed this year's performance almost as much as every other year.

It boggles my mind what people find to rant and rage about. I have a friend that's one of those type of people. I told him if who preforms Super Bowl halftime show is a major problem in your life then your a lucky person. Because you got no real problems.
I record the game, actually record most sports I watch so I can FF through the commercials. I didn't watch the halftime show but that's normal for me.

That's fairly true for the Super Bowl. During the regular season you play division teams twice a year and all the teams from one other division in your conference and all the teams from one division is the opposing conference. Which leaves three games the league picks. So divisions teams get to know each other pretty well. Though teams, especially losing teams can change dramatically from one year to the next.
I can remember when it wasn't like that, most players returned for years and you could get to know all the players on a team. I miss that.

I would think that anybody who was at the game would have felt pretty pissed about the halftime show this year. Normally, there's a stage. Half the audience can see the performance, half the audience can see the backside of the performance. This year, the performance was clearly designed for broadcast, since the audience wouldn't have been able to see much of it at all.
I agree that the halftime shows are generally unimpressive. What I'd like to see is the choreography of how they put together the stages used in most of the shows. This one was simpler and easier, but it still would have taken an army of people performing carefully choreographed actions to get it all set up in minutes and taken down in minutes. There's more skill to that than there is to the performance itself.

Re: Post Race!
The problem the Super Bowl has is that they started off demonstrating rocket belts during half time. They started out the gate with the bar set too high.

A lot of effort goes into non football related shiny things like the commercials and half time show.
I heard a long time ago that super bowl halftime causes cities across the country to experience the lowest water pressure of the year because so many people are going to the bathroom at the same time. So many of the viewers are missing half the show.

As a Patriots-Fan located in Germany, i watched the game on TV up until 4 minutes left in first half, then went to sleep (it was about 1:45 AM, with my alarm ringing at 06:00 AM for off to work at 07:30 AM)
Right.... 4 QB-Sacks in 1st quarter alone gave me an "uh oh"-Feeling.
Wes is right: Brilliant defense on both sides. Many "3 and out"
But the Seahawks defense was something else, especially in 2nd quarter..... it kind of reminded me of the "Legion of Boom"-Era....not equal, but close
Shaggy is right: That left part of the O-Line was the weak link for the Pats.
As for the pre-season-odds: I think to remember, that both teams were at about 60-1 (give or take 10, or there about), so pretty much midfield (i think the Eagles had a +700 pre-season)
All said: As a Patriots-Fan i acknowledge that the Seahawks were the better team. As easy as that.
Sometimes you have to accept it, and doff your hat to your opponent.
And regarding half-time-show (which i didn't watch, was already in bed and probably dreaming of Kylie Dickson): Who the hell is Bad Bunny???!??!

I enjoy walking after lunch. It's a light enough exercise to not upset my stomach, but at the same time it prevents the food from falling to my toes.

Yeah, the NO parades look like a mad house. At least the footage of them that I've seen and that's limited.
The only parade around here is a parade of bad weather for the next week or so.

They have the courrier du Mardi Gras which is where people dress up and chase a chicken and track down ingredients to make a gumbo. It’s definitely one of those things that if you want an authentic Louisiana experience that you should attend.

We’re going to the Gheens (pronounced “gains”) parade on Tuesday and they have a tradition of whipping the kids until you say the magic word, which I have conveniently gotten temporary amnesia until after the parade so my kids won’t know

Learned something new today.
The "GPT" in "ChatGPT" is pronounced in french the same way like this: "J'ai péter"
Though "J'ai péter" literally translates to: "I've farted"
Huh? Didn't know that french language is so sophisticated and close to reality.....
