Dear VBFormers,

I am looking to have a Splash Screen written into my BHO Domain App. It looks like this, the Timer is meant to clock down the milliseconds of intervals of ten units, which i have got going right. Then the problem lies in the section of I guess the switch over between the two User Controls. Please have a look at my source code for it???

Seems to be all kinds of issues opening the project from missing items. Im not really sure what you are trying to do with the code on the splash screen control tho. Seems like you would want to have at least the percent variable static or form level. Can you elaborate on what you want to accomplish here?

Like DrBobby is saying, "Precent" is always going to be zero.
Also, increasing the timer interval every time through the loop makes no sense. Plus, using a timer here does nothing useful that I can think of. Just write a function to set the percent complete display to whatever you pass in and force a redraw.

Okay then, the Splash Screen was the last screen to then be added into the Project just minutes after I placed the Source Code on the Forum, then so. With the Splash Screen I was just going to have a simple precent and slider working and then faking the creation of the UserControl and then thus is where I am right now, like so...

PS: The missing ActiveX Controls, is the ScrollBar and CustomDialog objects, that I wrote for it...

You probably dont want to have the interval set so low to start and increment it by such a small amount. Is there a total time you are trying to have this bar look like its loading for. From what I can tell you are just simulating a loading bar here and not actually measuring something.

Alright I think this is what you are after or should at least get you close. Will replace the code in your splash screen control. Might have to modify it a little as your project wont run missing files.

Please have a good look at the Timer Handler and then if it could be a background image and then showing the UserControl on the ClassForm, could that work or not so, like???
