(Verse 1)
Caught in the middle, it's a tangled affair,
Two lovely ladies with baggage to spare.
They talk about their pasts, the ghosts that they chase,
But I'm just a bystander in this emotional race.
(Pre-Chorus)
Every time we plan a date, the phones light up bright,
Exes buzzing in, disrupting the night.
One gets the shingles, what a curious plight,
And I'm stuck in the middle, can't see the light.
(Chorus)
Caught between two, it's a balancing act,
Their pasts haunt the present, there's no turning back.
Long chats and late calls, it's all a blur,
But I'm scared I'm becoming just another confidant, sir.
(Verse 2)
They pour out their hearts, their stories unfold,
But I'm just a listener, not the one they hold.
Their friends weigh in, making it all so tense,
Starting a relationship feels like climbing a fence.
(Pre-Chorus)
Texts and calls with exes, it's a constant parade,
I have my own troubles, I'm starting to fade.
One word with an ex, and I'm on thin ice,
Caught in this web, it's not very nice.
(Chorus)
Caught between two, it's a balancing act,
Their pasts haunt the present, there's no turning back.
Long chats and late calls, it's all a blur,
But I'm scared I'm becoming just another confidant, sir.
(Bridge)
I'm drawn to one, but the other's still here,
Their baggage is heavy, it's becoming clear.
I want more than talks about old flames and fights,
But I'm slipping away in these endless nights.
(Chorus)
Caught between two, it's a balancing act,
Their pasts haunt the present, there's no turning back.
Long chats and late calls, it's all a blur,
But I'm scared I'm becoming just another confidant, sir.
(Outro)
Caught in the crossfire of love's twisted game,
I'm longing for simplicity, tired of the same.
But until they let go of what holds them tight,
I'll remain caught between, lost in the night.

I know the hatchery.
Since Chinook will return to the place they were released, this could have some interesting results in a few years. The Grande Ronde river already has a run, and I'm pretty sure there are no dams downstream of that point, fortunately, so the only result will be a few more fish returning to that particular river.

Voyager 1, the little space craft that could. https://www.yahoo.com/tech/nasa-figu...153000469.html
It makes me feel good it's still chugging along. But in terms of space travel, the distance it's traveled in 47yrs is fairly insignificant. Though it's definitely the record holder. lol

I believe the New Horizon space craft is still heading out of our solar system. I don't know it's project life span.
You would think that 47yrs later we would have found ways to significantly improve our propulsion.

Re: Post Race!
I'd say that depends on your definition of improvement. For fine navigation necessary to maneuver in space, there have been some improvements, but if you want economical propulsion over a long distance, you just can't beat momentum. Set it in motion on the right trajectory, and let it fly.

I do wonder if we'll ever find the speed necessary to visit other solar systems. I do realize we could reach them now if given a long enough time but complex mechanically/electrical things usually don't last hundreds of years. I have heard that at the rate the galaxies are moving apart there is basically no way we can reach them. But the billions of star in our galaxy should keep us busy enough.

Re: Post Race!
Any ship that were to attempt that would need to be able to repair itself. In fact, it might need to be able to repair itself to the extent that it could rebuild itself, perhaps multiple times over. We aren't there, but we might be getting there. Once Skynet wipes us out, it could then launch an interstellar probe, because what else would it do?

Found myself a new hobby.
I installed Merlin Bird ID app from Cornell, and it identified 8 birds around my house.

Re: Post Race!
I saw some trailer for that. It looks like it is tied to the Fallout video games. I played Fallout 4, and it was pretty good, but it wasn't just a nuclear aftermath, it was also a nuclear aftermath in an alternate history where technology flowed in a different direction from the 50s onwards. Some things advanced, others remained stuck. Cars were more reminiscent of the glass and steel of the 50s, while robotics were much more advanced.

Today while looking into buying my son the same router I have, a Fritz!Box 7590, which cost me 250 Euros, I found a special sell on it. For a slightly slower version of my router model, which includes a single Fritz! led that normaly costs 20 Euros, it's on sale for 3,736 Euros at my favorite electronics store!

That's an odd name. In the US, the term "on the fritz", means that the device isn't working right.

It's just a name in Germany. It was used for this product because of the stereotype or perception of German engineering excellence.

I was wondering where the term came from. It looks like it has been around for over 100 years, and as so many of sayings that old are, the origin is unknown with any certainty.
