No you can show images from 3rd party sites. Most of the time... for a time... there's a long-unfixed bug that might randomly eat it in the future, maybe months, maybe years. It tries to grab to the image and make it a local one, but fails at some point, leaving a blank spot referencing an invalid local URL.

[img]https://www.vbforums.com/[/img]

You can also do this:

[URL="https://...LinkToFullSize.jpg"][img]https://www.vbforums.com/[/img][/URL]
