For everyone!!! If you guys want to CHAT, you can use chat on my Web site, until John develops one here on VB-World.

    Chat at VBGarage

Note: you must be running Internet Explorer, because I'm using Microsoft Chat ActiveX control.
But I'm working on the Chat program that will be browser independent. See you there.

Of course, this chat is not state of the art (I just wanted to put together something really quickly), but it works...

This is strange, I've tested this with 5 different computers. If you don't have this activeX control on your system, then it will be automatically downloaded.

    Thumbs up

It said there was a server error, It still let me in tho, but there was nobody there Other than that it worked just like all the other empty chat rooms I've been to.

See if you can get john to provide a link to it, that'd help, cos this thread will be forgotten about in a weeks time.

I know it gives you an error. It's a problem with Exchange2000 Chat server of some sort. At this point I can't find the resolution, but it still works. I was there yesterday, chatting with 3 people. So, if anyone wants to chat, you can still chat at my site.

I tried going into your site yesterday and today and it gives me an error saying that it cannot connect.

Sorry for that. I have 2 operating systems installed on my machine (Win98 and Win2000 Advanced Server). In order for the system to have Chat available, it needs to run Win2000 and it wasn't at that time. Now it is available again.

Okay, I guess you fixed it. I can get into it now.

I got "there was an error running script on this page" or something like that when i pressed the Join button. I have IE4 so that's probably the problem

Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Netscape, since I'm using ActiveX control. At this moment I'm working on my own chat room, which will be browser independent.
