Problem when opening VC++
hi,
i've bought a copy of visual studio 6 and when i installed and tried to open VC++ , theres a runtime error saying "Program : ...LES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\COMMON\MSDEV99\BIN\MSDEV.exe abnormal program termination"
does anyone know how to solve this problem?
pls tell me

hm... sounds like a corrupt exe file then, try calling Micro$hit and see if they will give a replacement, or just find somewhere to d/l the file (if you really need it i could prolly give it to u)

I think he means download the .exe that it says keeps terminating or contact microsoft and get them to send you a replacment CD. I know this is possible cos i did it it cost me £16 for all the Visual Studio CD's which wasn't bad in my view.

yes, but i HAVE the .exe file in MY hard drive. I have a more detailed description of my whole problem on the other thread which is located at

Do you download from a warez site the C++ ? If yes maybe it was corrupted, if not your cd is weird.
