I went with option 3 but I think it could either way between 2 and 3. I doubt he'll survive the vote of no confidence that seems to be coming but if he does he'll limp on.

I went with two because he seems like a survivor, and there is no viable alternative coalescing at this time. I hope I'm wrong, though. Option #4 would be the BEST!!

I went with #2. He'll limp one way or the other, just not sure if it will be a victory or a defeat. I'm mostly sure (60-70%) he won't be voted out by his own party, but it's definitely within the realm of possibility. A national politician here in Canada just got voted out by his own party, so things are definitely "a-brewin'".

I asked the question as a poll because I don't think anybody, probably not even Boris, knows how this will turn out, so it's a good question to bet on. The answers so far have been interesting. I was reluctant to even vote because I'm so undecided about it.

@Arnoutdv: I'd be interested in hearing your view. I'd say that yours is the low odds position, with 2 and 3 being the positions I hear most often, but I added 1 because there's always a chance. I'd just like to hear an argument for it.

I voted for one.
My opinion is that people in politics get removed for reasons they don't have had any influence over.
They have to take political responsibility for things happened in the past before they got their position.
But for what is happening with Boris and his entourage, it will be forgotten and people go on with their daily business.

Okay, that's pretty much the reasoning as to why I added option #1. We sure do have short attention spans, and blame leaders for things that they have no control over. I still think it's a long shot, but, yeah, it sure could happen.

Yeah, things aren't looking good for him. At this point I think there's a very real chance he'll stand down before the end of the day.

I'm beginning to regret my vote.

Not as much as his regrets, but not insignificant, either. When I posted this poll, I was quite on the fence. At this point, I don't see how he could possibly carry on. Yeah, he has no shame, but he does like the power, and he has pretty much none of that left, by now.

Not sure whats best, he SHOULD go, either pushed out or preferably by resignation, but there is no obvious replacement!

I'm no Torie so it's hard for me to be objective when suggesting a replacement but Sunak seem the stand out option to me.

Thing is, Boris is actually quite liberal for a Tory (mostly he's just a populist) so I find myself in the odd position of regretting that he'll go because the replacement is likely to be worse.

Any replacement will certainly be less entertaining. Heck, they'll likely even know how many kids they have.

Unbelievably, he seems to have got away with it again. It's all gone quiet and he's just motoring on as before.

That's the reason for the poll. Trump said he could murder somebody in the street and get away with it. Boris seems to be the same way. I don't think it's over, yet.

I'm glad some people voted for option #4. That would certainly be the most entertaining.
