[RESOLVED] Dataset failure
I am not certain which forum would address this, so I am unsure if this is the appropriate forum.
I have lost the ability to create a dataset using the Add New Data Source in the Data Sources window. Whenever I make an attempt a connection is created in the settings tab of the project window. Additionally, the dataset shows up in the Project. What occurs is that I get an error stating
Could not get type information for 'MasterBase._MasterBase2_0DataSet',
and the dataset is never displayed in the window.
I am not completely ruling out something outside of the database (Access) and/or Visual Studio as the problem, as I have lately been experiencing other instances of odd behavior with my system. However, barring some accidental setting I have changed in either Access, or Visual Studio, is there something that I can do to correct this issue?
This is a newly created database and a newly created project.

Re: Dataset failure
The only thing I could recommend would be a repair on VS.

Thanks. I didn't think that would end well.

A repair is a specific thing done through the installer. It will replace all your files with new copies, which can fix issues with corrupted files. It ended well for me on the one occasion I've done it and I've never heard of a case where it actually broke anything, even if it didn't fix the problem.

I will give it a shot. Thanks.
