    Question

I am running windows 98 and need to download Personal Web Server so I can work with ASP. I tried to do this and it didn't work right. It says Windows NT Option Pack Download Wizard for Windows 95, is this the right one? And after I download it, and create a html/asp document in something like homesite or frontpage, how do i use it? Should i save the html/asp document in a certain file, directory? And i know that i have to use localhost, but not sure exactly how. Any ideas??

    Have you installed PWS yet?

PWS for Win95 is shipped as part of the NT4 option pack so it looks like you are on the right track.

When PWS is running there should be an icon in your system tray. If you click on the icon and select "Main" it will show you the home directory where your pages should be.

By default this will probably be c:\inetpub\wwwroot\

nad you access them via http://pc-namein your web browser

Thanks Mark, I have another very stupid question! I downloaded it from the website but when I try to open it, it tries to take me through the same download/setup again.
When go to PWS in my programs listed beside it are:
    Front Page Administrator
    Personal Web Manager
    Personal Web Server Setup
    Product Documentatation
    Release Notes
I think I have already done pws setup, what do I do next? Also there were 2 errors while downloading pws. I installed and uninstalled twice yesterday and once today and keep getting the exact same errors. Someone please help me!!!

Personal Web Manager is the one that you want

is your pc on a network?

if not that might be the problem

it needs to have a name
