    Hi,
    I'm not sure if domain is the right name for it, but I was wondering, is it possible to create a domin on my computer. For example : http://myname.localhost/

    similar the ones used on this web ste, example : http://forums.vb-world.net


    I would gladly appreciate it if anyone could offer some assistance.

    P.S. I'm Using MicroSoft Personal Web Server

    You can, BUT:

    You have to have a domain controller. It should be a computer (for example WindowsNT/2000 Server or Unix Server). This server should register a domain name under NIC, for example http://www.MyGreatDomain.com
    When you have your domain controller setup, you can have your other computer to be part of that domain. Your other machine has to be a Web Server.

    After all these steps, you can have your machine available for others on the Web and the address would be:

    http://YourWebServerName.MyGreatDomain.com

    This is an info in a "nut shell".

    Question More

    Where can I find more information on this subject? Details and or just basic info on how to set up a web server and domains. How is it exactly that you make 'web space'? Any directions would be appreciated.

    your webpages should be accessable to the rest of your LAN (if applicable) by using the PC name

    I have a persomnal webserver running on my pc her at work abnd the rest of the LAN users can access it via
