    BitBlt the image into a PictureBox, and then use SavePicture to save the image in the picturebox to the drive. Turn on AutoSize for the picturebox too.

    Using a picture box means I have to have a form right?

    If so I am trying to make this completly hidden to encapsulate into an activex dll so I can use it with my asp scripts to create thumbnails. I don't think my service provider would like me to be poping up forms here and there...

    If I don't have to have a form to set this up than can anyone give me some code that can show me how to do this???

    thanks

    Add a picturebox to a form, make it big enough for your image, and then in the Load event for the form just put Me.Hide

    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.
