Need advice on 3 tiers system

    Hi all,

I have a VB application running on 3 tiers:
    - Client: NT4
    - Business: NT4, MTS2
    - Server: NT4, SQL 7

Now I want to upgrade the system to:
    - Client: NT4 or Win 2K
    - Business: Win 2K
    - Server: Win 2K, SQL 2K

Any hint or advice about this upgrading? I want some idea , advice before going to upgrade this.

    Thanks.

Oh, I forgot to mention. money is not an issue here.

All I need to know is the technical side of it, does the new system have an effect (bad or good) on the current application?

    Thanks.

Well I dont see any reason why it would cause a problem.
I'd make images of the hard drives first though.

And if you're looking for this software, mail me at [email protected] and i'll undercut any prices you have.

    Issues, hmmm.
Well, to start, the biggest issue you will have is your upgrade to sql server 2000. This will require your porgrams to use the MDAC 2.6 version. If you are already using it, they you are pretty set.
ANY connection, client, business, server to the sql 2000 server will have to go under re-compilation with the 2.6

    Otherwise:

    Client: Should be OK
    Business: Should be OK
    Server: Follow above.

    Oh,yeah,
