I have a cgi script on my server ive got it working but i have to type the address in the location bar or click the link i wish for this text to be part of the index.htm i.e like a hit counter that is part of the webpage but is created by the cgi-script please help me

you might have to use something like that. but you would have to make the index file have a different extension, index.shtml.
