I love you all!!!
Last night I watched the most amazing thing. Just when I thought I would never get over this horror, I turned on the television and saw something I will never forget.
We've heard it said by politicians around the globe that they were all with us and felt our pain...."an attack against one is an attack against all" etc. But when I saw ordinary citizens outside Buckingham Palace in tears as they played The Star Spangled Banner at the changing of the guards, it brought me to tears.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you. I cannot say how this has effected me, my family and my friends. We will get through this.
*smooch*

You should feel special, first time they've ever played a different tune I think, direct order from the Queen.

I think that this event even though it has been one of the most tragic things in the world will make the US and the UK get along better.

Hopefully it might make the whole world get along a bit better!
Maybe some good might come out of all this sorrow yet.
It's a national day of mourning here (Canada) as well. There are American flags flying at half mast from most of the buildings. Outside the major hotels which usually have 20 or so international flags on poles, all of them are at half mast. It's quite an emotional sight to see.

I wish we were as patriotic as you yanks. Most people here dont even know or like our national anthem you all have to sing yours even before watching a film at the cinema.

Tower Bridge is flying its flags at half-mast, and they don't normally fly flags at all. I guess they're trying to make the point that we all feel this.
America has been our friend for a long time, but even if that wasn't the case - well, you can't help but feel for people who go through something like this.
It's hard not to sound like a cliché, but I hope you know what I mean.

Everyone knows the main chorus (esp the football supporters ) but most agree it's a bit dull and should be more like Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory etc etc.

Yesterday on the local TV station they showed one footage that can brin to tears anyone (who has heart that is).
They showed the homless guy with a cardboard banner saying: I am not homeless, I live in America.

on a more serious note: I think it is pretty cool how many of the America Allies are taking the time, and effort to acknowledge what has happened. Sadly though it is just because this has happen to the US, look at the middle east they have riots, terriost attacks and go unaware. But then again, the US is thought by many to be a safe haven, and few tragic events besides natural disasters happen here also.

Oh well, I've never actually watched it, despite having been to London many times.

Seriously though, thank all of you guys for your support. I live over in California, right next to San Francisco...and, as you'll recall, one of those hijacked planes was supposed to be coming right at us.
I think that the whole world should be in mourning like they are because, in my opinion, this is biggest terrorist attack ever in my lifetime on any country. It's great that we're starting to be more united as a planet, but it's horrible that it had to happen this way.

Most big changes involve things like this.
The French Revolution - widely considered to be a Good Thing, but look how many people died in that.
American Civil War, English Civil War, the list goes on. Unfortunately History has a set pattern which must be followed, however much we hate it.

Despite having no idea what you're yammering on about...
No. The solution is to wait until someone comes IN, then drive at high speed so they have to reverse out of the way, culminating in you escaping at about 90mph
