WW3?
Somehow, I have a very strong feeling the attack at WTC is the beginning of something big, very big! Almost as if WW3 is about to begin!
I hear the NATO nations are going to help the US so this means that whoever did this, the whole country will be on wiped out off the face of the Earth!!!
That's just my opinion of what's going on!

I have a feeling it will occur as well.
Quote from Joel (friend)
My dad told me when I was 10 that he heard the world was gonna end in 2002 due to world war 3, and he said he heard it from his dad which heard it from those profit guys back in the day.
I believe those profit guys...may be right .
It will be humans that wipe their own population out.
So much for the getting out there, up in space.
What JFK helped accomplish, and at least start.
And now, if we have to worry about a war, there is no way we are going to ever explore what we've dreamed about doing.
I've always seen movies, like StarTrek, StarWars, and I wonder, will humans ever get there? Maybe not in my generation, maybe not in my children's, or even my grandchildren's, but when? When will we get out there? Probably never, not until at least we come to peace.
And perhaps, I believe it was Ronald Reagon that said it...
"I don't suppose we can wait, for some alien race to come down and threaten us. Perhaps we need some outside universal threat. Our differences world-wide, would vanish, if we were facing an alien threat, from outside this world."

Well, I know for sure Russia is on US' side because some time ago they were fighting with Afganistan and now they probably hate them...
I think China is going to stay neutral until someone threatens it...

excellent point. I think I heard this from Crimson Tide...
In the Nuclear Age, the only true enemy is war itself.
There would be no winner, only death and destruction.

I said "china and russia" because i am so used to the tension between us and them.. but now that i actually think about it... i dont think they will be against the U.S. ..

trust me, russia is on US's side
why?
well Bin Laden gets pissed when he hears "muslims" being tortured (that would be in chechnya, and afghan)
and Russia likes to get their fingers into these to regions
which makes Bin Laden a direct enemy to russia

exactly, an enemy of bin laden is an ali of NATO.
I don't even really see what china has to do with this. i mean why would china even think about doing something to NATO and Russia. Sure they have a lot of people, and are powerful, but they just really have no national inrest in this whole thing that i have seen

china and russia are both "friends" know and doing lots of business deals (for example spending millions of $$ to connect some gas or oil lines between the two) plus they still would like revenge. Russia may be all were friends with the US, but what have they really done for us? maybe I'm ignorent and don't know but we still spy on eachother

If it comes to a nuclear war I think China will prefer to form an allience WITH NATO rather than AGAINST NATO.
One nuke on the communist HQ and China is without leadership.

Ok, I dont think that this talk of WW3 is very helpful but i just had to reply to the statements that Russia and China are somehow on the same side against the U.S. I know that they have signed trade deals etc but surely one look at their long history as neighbours shows that they are hardly the friendliest of allies. They have fought many battles against each other and were unsupportive of each other during the Japan / Russian war, the Japanese invasion of China (pre WW2) and at the closing stages of WW2. Their joint border is still one of the most unstable in the world and so characterising them as good friends is highly misleading.

Stuart

yes but..
it doesnt take good friends to form an alliance..
just as the U.S. did with the soveit union during WW2.. we werent their totall ally.. it's just that both of our countries had a common enemy in germany.
look lets stop all this hypothosizing already... as it stands now.. it's just the U.S. and NATO?? ( am i correct on that? ) against whatever country is found too be guilty of the bombing.. let's not start rampant rumors about WW3...
actually.. someone explain too me why WW3 would start ??
if the guilty country ( or group) turns out too be afganistan and bin ladens group... then NATO will send groud troops too capture bin laden.. or kill him and his faction...

WWI grew out of conflicts over colonial ambitions. Britain and
France vs. Germany. Brits and French wanted to keep what they
had, Germany wanted "its place in the sun" (I believe that was
quoted from Bismark, but I'm not sure).
The rest of the world got dragged in by taking sides. The Austro-
Hungarian Empire because of the actions of the Russians and the
French in the Balkans, The Ottoman Empire due to
British/Russian "encroachment" in the MiddleEast and the Black
Sea.
The Russians saw a chance to expand thru the Bosophorus,
bringing them into the conflict.
Most of the Latin American nations jumped in late and their
influence didn't really amount to much.
WWII was more along ideological lines. Geman and Italian
Facists were in close contact for a long time. They were (the
Russo-German pact notwithstanding) "natural" enemies of the
the Russian Communists. Japan barged in on the German side in
an attempt to run the British and French out of the Pacific Spere.
It is not difficult to hypothesize an Islamic vs Northern European
conflict. A very natural political alliance stretching from Northern
Africa to Pakistan.

Well Russia don't even know where their nukes are, and the rest of Asia (except Pakistan and India) don't have 1 between them.

I don't think there will be WW3. WW3 can only happen if a country backs up these terrorists.
The news has mentioned these terrorists took flight lessons in Florida. If that holds true, then why did the country not provide the flight lessons to these terrorists?
That makes me believe it is an organization that support these terrorists rather than a country.

THANK YOU!!!
No nation-state on this planet would be stupid enough to try this, or to support it with any material goods or intelligence. Nobody at all. Maybe some would like the political ramifications, but nobody would pledge support for it, publicly or otherwise.
Heads of state aren't that dumb. 'Cept Dubya, but hey...

Your are a free countries. remember this!!!.....
If a man decide to go to school you can't forbid it......
Or your government can decided that Fly Scholl are only for USA citizens,,,,,,And maybe technical school (i remember few years ago a engineering student design A NuKE ....) then forbid the university to.....
The problem is globalization.
You can't control ALL the people in a multiracial and free countries......
The only way is maintain peace aboard. and welfare for all word citizen, and that USA citizen work for that and partecipate more active in your governament.....especialy in aboard politic.
And Seek alway for World peace
