hi
i am writting a packet sniffer program
just want to know, how do u capture raw packet from
local area networks?
using tcp/ip protocol?
any one could give me hand pls?
any recources that might help me pls?

I don't know if it would be possible via winsockets.
Try it, don't like your chances, might want to check up on the MSDN for some information in relation to network traffic and tcp/ip packets. If you do work out how, let me know as I would be interested too.

there is a class file name magicpacket provided in
http://www.freevbcode.com
trying searching freevbcode using the phrase "packets"
you will find this class file?
i just found it today? havent had time to read about
the functionality provided? but i will do so?
