Record Moving
Is it possible using a vb program and a acces database to move records up and down like in a text box and keep them displayed in that order on the next run?
Like this:
jack - 7 - teacher
joe - 4 - garbage man
jim - 1 - truck driver
say i move jim so he is first, will the database keep that order it seems to reset on me.
just wondering thanks.

Only if you had some sort of field containing a "position" value, then you could do a simple ORDER BY to put them in the right order
jack - 7 - teacher - 3
joe - 4 - garbage man - 1
jim - 1 - truck driver - 2
That would mean it shows like this
joe - 4 - garbage man - 1
jim - 1 - truck driver - 2
jack - 7 - teacher - 3
