    via API, what's the simplest way to see if my computer is connected to the internet?

    yes i looked at this example before i posted this topic. it doesn't work. i want to know how to tell if you are connected by using the API function:

    InternetGetConnectedStateEx

    i know this API function exists, but i have no idea how to use it. does anyone have any suggestions? can anyone help me out?

    basically what i want to do is if the user's computer is connected to the internet (in any way: via modem, LAN, etc...) i want to enable a button in my prog. thanks for any help.
