Next Windows OS, no file system!
Next OS called "BlackComb" by MS developers.The registry is gone in .Net. They now use something called a "global cache".
There are NO more files!!
Everything is through the Web Storage System!!), but
use this specially encrypted web-based file system. It
uses a Jet-engine to talk to it too. And even on the
local computer, there are no files to access, and you
have to go through http to get EVERYTHING! Yes, even
locally.

interesting, i like httping anyways 
maybe this is a breakaway towards no dlling, and no dlling could mean ms just MIGHT let .net make it to non windows..

me too, i like controlling things. once the rats got control of my house, and i had to sleep outside untill i could chop them up.
in watermelon sugar the deeds were done and done again as my life is done in watermelon sugar.

Me 2...but i think Win2K is nice. the NTFS makes it way faster than Win9x.

Sooo...all the data is on the net.
That'll be grand. I'm sure sensetive data is best stored on the net rather than with tape backups in a locked safe...
Besides which, that whole idea is stupid...IMHO.
