Amstrad Notepad/Notebook BASIC (BBC BASIC)
Hi,
I am getting an Amstrad Notebook NC200, which includes BBC BASIC. What are the differences between QBASIC/GWBASIC and BBC BASIC?

YOU'RE KIDDING!!!!!
Goddamn!!
BBC Basic is ... more similar to QBasic than GWBasic, I suppose. BBC Basic uses Proc's (procedures) and FN's, though it's so long since I wrote anything with it! Personally, I loved it, but that was a very long time ago.
I believe that, as with most interpreters, BBC Basic immediately tokenises all of it's command statements, so that you can type waht looks like gibberish, but it'll understand it. Let me think of an example.....
How about:
100 FORN=1TO100:PRINTFNRADIUS(N):NEXTN
(Notice the lack of spaces!)
I don't know about the Amstrad machine, but certainly the old Model B and C were like that!
They are true "Anorak Greats!!", and get 11 out of 10 from me!!

Hey, Sail,
Do you remember that time when the chinese were just strapping lemons with wires connected to an abacus?...
No, seriously, it must be at least... 1992/3!
I think it was aimed at the palm-top market, but ended up with perhaps three too many lemons!!
