Does vBulletin cache avatars from external links instead of just putting the path in the <img> tag? i.e., if I make my avatar http://www.liquid2k.com/filburt1/avatars/avatar15.gif, will the board download it and use it, or just put <img src="http://www.liquid2k.com/filburt1/avatars/avatar15.gif"> in the HTML?

I wanted to know if I had to reset my avatar option here every time I edit my avatar, or if it would just grab it automatically.

it stores it here, so you have to update it each time.

I have tried uploading a custom avatar but don't get the picture in my profile. It is 50 x 48 pix(6k) and a JPEG. So, I thought I'd try a post and see if anything shows up.

If you can't see a picture next to this post and you have some idea of how to make avatars appear... help!

Did you upload it to your web host or to the board?

I am not sure. I just used the upload option in the avatar editing section.

I pointed it at the file on my computer an it didn't ask me for anything more.

Any thoughts?

Its definetely a small Length X Width.
But still, FileSize? <= 20, 000 Bytes?
