I am curious about when Visual Basic 7 is released. I am also curious about the advantages from Visual Basic 6. Where could I read about Visual Basic 7?????

The main advantage will be Object Oriented Programming. That means polymorphism
and inheritance in classes. I don't know when it'll be released.

This seems to me like MS taking another swing at Java. You know the old saying, if you can't beat em, join em

I purchased VB6 Professional to develop some In-House programs I've been contemplating. Certainly these projects could have been contracted out, but I wanted to learn the language myself and at least know what went into developing programs and writing code.
My question is this... After reading and and excersisng with a few VB6 books. It seems to me, I'll not utilize the full benefits of this version. What level of programming would you be at, to need VB7???

Visual Basic 7 is not necessary harder than 6. It is only a new version but it still ain't out and ain't gonna be out before a while.(sorry my bad english)

Hi there...
Microsoft planned to release Visual Basic 7 with all the promised features (that I'm not gonna figure out) in 2001.
Hope you'll be patient enough

alright, it'll come out in 2001
by that time, I would have vstudio 6 long enough to convince my dad I need the upgrade
