Just put some colorful happy birthday texts, graphix and music in your app and compile it. Not to hard to do I think
Use
writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
writing haskell makes your life easier:
reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

Well, you really need to be fanatic on this site to get the fanatic title. But i'm not sure what John is going to do with all the new titles

Since your making it for a girl try and put some flattering stuff in, it never hurts

I did something like this once before
Hi,
I didn't do a birthday app, but I wrote a anniversary app for my wife. I had a main screen with text and a two button (back and forward) navigation bar at the bottom righthand side of the screen. When she would press forward, the text, color of text, and background color would change. At the end, I put in the smilie face animation. She got a real kick out of it and loved it.
Just an idea.
