This is the type of question we'd like at www.pctsonline.com much better suited than here!

But as i believe you cant run a windows proggie on BSD/Unix!
Perhaps with a type of emulator you could!

What do you mean Windows Programs???

If you have to ask, don't bother. FreeBSD is a different OS. No, it won't run Windows executables, duh.

It will run an emulator, which will have mixed results in running Windows executables.

I don't know how different BSD and Linux are, or if there are versions for BSD, but you can get WINE or Win4Lin on Linux to run most Windows apps, albeit in a slightly unreliable kind of way.

It's funny how people say that!

"Isnt UNIX a ***** to setup though. "

Nope Windows is a ***** to set up!
You'll need to partition if you want both which is obvious.

    Harry:
    Not that different at all!
There both based on the same thing anyway!

But why run a "Windows" program anyway! Like what exactly?
    I.E ???

Being able to run Windows apps under nix is actually pretty useful. Obviously if you only want to use Windows apps you probably ought to use Windows, but being able to run Office (for instance) can be useful if you just want to look at an Excel file someone emailed you or something.
