    Send email in a simple VB6 project using a command1 button gmail smtp

    i want a project code example using command1 button to submit a email using gmail smtp to submit a email to my destinated gmail email address using a single click

    Search this forum for 'CDO email', 'CDO gmail', there are plenty of examples

    Worth noting: If you cannot get emailing from a gmail account to work and you subsequently receive an email from Google advising ‘We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account …’ then try going to your gmail inbox – click on settings at top right (the little cog wheel) – select Settings in the dropdown – select Accounts and Import – click on Other Google account settings – click Security – and enable ‘Access for less secure apps’. This setting is normally enabled for personal gmail accounts it may be disabled and or the setting may be unavailable/ unchangeable for business users.
