    They are cool.

I made each and every one myself, including the animation in my current one. BTW, they're called avatars.

    Cool..
What did you make them in.
I`ll bet you have the patients for that kinda stuff. Do you do Web programming.?

  10. #10
I made them in Photoshop. And I don't really do true web programming; I know HTML and JSP, and do all my HTML in Dreamweaver.

    HTML isn't a programming language.

    What is it then?

    programming language
    n.
An artificial language used to write instructions that can be translated into machine language and then executed by a computer.
    Not that.

HTML is an interpreted language, I think.

Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.

It does not have If, loops, etc., so it doesn't qualify as a real programming language. Just like JavaScript is not a programming language; it is a scripting language.

Perl is an intepreted language, does that means it's not a "real" language?

    Who's defintion is that?

VBScript has If' etc loops. But that's a scriping language. Same with Perl

"Programming" a computer means to tell a computer what to do. HTML "programs" text and links and images and how they appear in relation to everything else. Programming languages have generally been limited to those that make decisions, namely If and Loop statements. HTML is a markup language, showing how outputted data is to appear to the user; similarily XML is not a programming language because it does the same thing. Neither HTML nor XML make decisions about the data, therefore they do not constitute programming. It's similar to drawing out your interface in the IDE; a blank VB interface on its own isn't programmed, because it doesn't make decisions about data.
