CD Burning
Hi, Guys!
Do you know how can I make simple functions in VB like in NERO CD Burning 5.5?
I want to build a program that burns cds, and NERO 5.5 takes too much, I want to know why?
Check in Download.Com for "Nero" and see the description...
See if you can help me.
Thank you,
Arie.

Burning CDs is an incredibly complex and sensitive task. It requires lots of direct communication with devices and that sort of thing, not really a VB domain. I would suggest getting a different burner program; NERO is very lame.

How in the world is Nero lame? It does everything it needs to do except for some tasks that would be better left to CloneCD.
(I don't have a burner for quite a while now, so tell me if something changed)

Good Ol' Platypus
If you search PSC there is a great DLL that has I/O for VB on Win95/98/ME
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)

Hm that's wierd I used nero for so long and it never gave me any problems. Maybe that was because I had the Teac CDR 4x / 12x, which was the most popular and best burner for quite a while. So what should I use now, I am going to get a new burner soon. Lite On 16x/8x/32x?

Personally I prefer LaCie; they have good support and good software (Adaptec EasyCD which has very few problems and burns great)
