    Hi Cheeko,
Yes you are right you will need a Digital Certificate if you want to transfer the Credit Card No and other sensetive data securly, by using SSL. To make use of Digital Certificate you need to have a domain name and a Server. You can get a digital certificate from the following Certificate authorities. I dont know if you have your own Server but if you have you can get a free Digital Certificate for testing purpose from one of these web site and play around with it.

    Verisign
    Thawte
    Eurosign
    Entrust Technologies

Thee are others but Verisign and Thawte are the most reputable one.

The next thing you will need is a Marchent Account. From your profile i assume you are from UK then i would suggest Barclays Bank. Go to this web site [Business Online Section] Barclays Merchant Service .

This site has some very good information that you might find useful.

If you dont want to get an Marchent Account then you can use some third party to verify the credit card info, but they charge you for using their service, some charges you based on your sales and some charges you one time fee. I had few URLs for those companies but cant seem to find it, if i do i will post it here.

    Hope this helps
